BA hons Group Project: Space Randy's Pizza Delivery 

For the first assignment of my degree year I was tasked with a group project. I worked in a team of six with two animators and three other designers. The group project idea we decided to work on was a pizza delivery game, the player is tasked to collect pizzas from the hub restaurant and deliver the pizza in the specified time limit given to the villagers in the cities 
My contribution to the group project was to design a space tunnel highway that connects the hub restaurant to the planets where the cities are located. 
Concept Designs 
After deciding on how I was going to design to contribute to the group project. I started to design  layout designs for the tunnel. 
These are some more concept design ideas I have drawn for different layout designs for the tunnel highway.

Autodesk Maya Block-out
For the start of  the block-out development I have designed a polygon cylinder.
I have duplicated the cylinder and deleted the faces on both sides of the object for the tunnel.

Unreal Game Engine Build
After finishing the block-out stage I started designing the project in the Unreal game engine. I exported the tunnel block-out from Maya into Unreal but it did not export in the engine correctly so I started to design the project again.
I have duplicated the cylinder object to start designing the tunnel highway.
In the 3D Software Autodesk Maya I inverted the normals. This is so that the floor of the tunnel is see-able and re-imported it back into Unreal.

I have started to design the tunnel with a more challenging layout for the player to get through.
I have done a test to see how the challenge section of the tunnel works. The corners will require the player to carefully maneuverer the spaceship around without bumping into the walls.

I have reversed the normals of the cylinder objects. I have also started to re-position the first section of the tunnel.
I have re-positioned more of the first section of the tunnel and positioned them so that they fill in the gap.

I have fitted the cylinder object into place for the tunnel.

I have done a final test for the tunnel. Everything is currently working fine but I encountered a few sections which had collisions on still so I have now removed them.

Recent Project 

The last project I worked on was the Space Randy's Pizza Delivery group project which I was apart of a small group of six people with Lewis, Jachym, Dom, Dan and Connor. To contribute to the group I designed a space tunnel highway that connects the hub restaurant to the planets to take the player into the cities to deliver the pizzas in the given time limit. 

 

 

 

Current project
The project I am currently developing is a 3D Platformer Winter Land level that I am designing for the final major project of the degree course. The Platformer is being developed in the Roblox Studio engine.

For this assignment project I was tasked to work in a small group team to design a project. The team was myself, Dom, Dan, Connor, Jachym and Lewis. The project idea was to design a working prototype of a pizza delivery game. My contribution to this project was to design a space tunnel highway which connects the cities on the planets to the hub.

Winter Land Level

 

For the final assignment on the degree course I was tasked with designing an final major project of my own choice. I designed a Winter Land themed 3D Platformer level in the Roblox Studio Engine. In the time given for the project I needed to have a prototype with working game mechanics although some of the game mechanics did not script correctly.
